One alternative is to instal WAMP5 on your PC:

You really need to know a bit about the settings required to set up a secure connection, however (or do a bit of reading!!).
I believe there are other alternatives to WAMP5, but this is the one I use, although not for a public connection.0 -
The webhost I use is very good for the price - free its https://www.110mb.com - resigtation is offline until later on in the month to give the servers a break, anyway you get 2GB space and 100GB bandwidth a month, also you can go to 1an1 or some other company like that and buy a domain and you can link that to you 110mb account.
So you get yourname.110mb.com and you can buy and link (from another place) https://www.yourname.* (* .co.uk, .com, .net, etc...)0
