Can I transfer mobile numbers from one phone to another ?

OK, probably a very basic question this, but I have just taken out a new mobile contract and want to transfer my (200 or so) numbers from my old phone to my new one.

Is there an easy way of doing this, without having to type them all in again ?

My old phone is a Samsung D500, and my new one is a Samsund U600. Both have bluetooth, if that is of any use ?

Thanks,
Kevin.

Some people can do it by connecting to a PC, but I just copied them from phone to SIM, switched phone, then copy SIM to phone.

Where there were multiple entries under one name in the phone memory, they are separate on the SIM, so I'd end up with Kevin, Kevin1, Kevin2 and need to do some manual editing afterwards.

I'd be guessing, but would Bluetooth do them only one at a time?

Hmmm, that might be an idea. I still have both phones so I could do it that way.

Where do you think it is best to keep your numbers, on the SIM or on the phone ?

    Thanks,
    Kevin.

I always keep mine on the sim card, cos if your phone dies you don't loose them all that way..

I would also save from sim to phone (or to a sim card saver) from time to time as my last card developed a fault after about 4 months of use and I would have lost everything
