Hi,
Never changed home phone and BB provider. Any tips? is it like a mobile thingy where you have to get a PAC code to port your number.
Our phone is with BT and BB with O2. We have sky, so thinking of moving it all under one roof.

Phone line is changed through a working line takeover. Simply ask your new CP (Sky) to do this, but be mindful of ringing BT to inform them, as they may continue to bill you (and check any contracts you may have). You should be able to keep your number, but the process can be more complex if Sky are an LLU in your area - enter your postcode at samknows.com to find out.
Broadband is transferred via a MAC (migration authorisation code - very much like the PAC). This process usually takes 7-10 days, but again, can be complicated if you're going to Sky LLU.
Of course, any monthly line rental/broadband paid to BT/O2 and unused should be due a pro-rata refund.Sorry, but the customer is not always right. Often, you're very very wrong.0 -
Sky is LLU in at our exchange.
What are the complications?
We definitely want to keep the number from BT.0 -
Since you are not on an O2 LLU service, there should be no issues with a transfer to Sky.
The problem is invariably with LLU to LLU transfers. No free lunch, and no free laptop
