I am seeing this house tomorrow.
Appaz it has got a side garden (goodish size in one of the pics) and has has a small rear garden. i am guessing not much.
Anybody with any experience with this type of property?
Will that constitute a resale problem further down the line?
Any reasons why lenders wont lend due to a side garden?
I like the looks of it. Only problem is it has nothing in terms of parking. can easily park in side roads though.
lastly, what would you offer based on the available info on RM?
Many thanks in advance.

I have never heard of this happening. Are you asking for an explanation of why lenders are doing this or are you just asking if a side garden might put a lender off?
I can't see that happening either - if it did it would render at least 4 houses in pretty well every road unmortgageable.0 -
Before you make an offer do you know what the area is like where the side jigga leads to, is it frequented with gangs of kids all hours of the evening?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

I live in a corner house so part of my back garden is at the side. From choice i'd prefer that the back garden was just that ....... at the back. When i was wanting a greenhouse i was worried that the kids would throw stones and smash it (the local Comp was a couple of hundred yards away) But the school closed down and it's a lot quieter now.
On the plus side i think with having a side garden you end up with a bigger plot.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

That "side jigga" is the access at the front. There is no vehicle access, which is a big down-side, but for all I know may be reflected in the price.
As to the garden itself, no evening sun with that aspect. Private enough, but I'd check who owns the leylandii on the eastern boundary.0 -
Some suspiciously large sheds in the gardens behind! Could these be the homes of some people who really shouldn't be there?;)
OP, this looks like a good renovation project but I think the side situation will put lots of people off, with good reason - remedied by fencing it off, but then you'll end up with a v dark garden. If you (or a like-minded individual) don't buy this, it will be snapped up by a property developer who will extend to the side and stick it on the rental market. Fact.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I don't know prices in the area, but it seems in reasonable condition, and that's a lot of house for the money. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
