Isn't the first step when things go wrong to seek an explanation of what happened and why? Only when that information is gained and understood can a patient decide to make a complaint or not..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Not when it's things like;
1) staff not maintaining proper personal hygiene standards.
2) wards not being cleaned properly
3) staff discussing who got laid by who last night while doing a bed bath on a stroke patient they forget can hear.
4) patients not being helped to eat when they can't do it themselves.
5) inadequate facilities for patients with disabilities in a brand new hospital
Witnessed all of the above, and all warrant a patient writing in to raise concerns.
There is so much that is great in the NHS. It could be better though.0
