This has reminded me of when I had it. I was on my own with 2 young children - one still in nappies. I just about managed to keep them fed and washed/changed. I did not have a phone but a friend arrive by chance to see me and fetched me some shopping and took away my washing to do and phoned for the doctor.
I hardly ate for 3 weeks as I couldn't even keep water down.
It was over Christmas so my mum came over on her two days off work to help. I spent most of the time flat on the floor trying not to move because of the pain.
I had a district nurse come in every day to give me penicillin injections.Not Rachmaninov
