Hi, hope I can join you - been following for ages (stalker alert!)
OH has gone away fishing until Monday and I've had this awful bug that's been going round, so making a comforting cottage pie for dinner and will have a medicating glass of wine
OS wise have done three loads of washing (off work) and house is looking pretty tidy for a change!

Good evening everyone
I get later every day but the mad catch up before I go off sick week is over and I am home. I have done all my meeting and greeting on the DMP Support thread and now I can say hi to my old style friends.
Welcome to Jem, Chun and Lindsay :hello:
This is a lovely thread, everyone is so friendly, welcoming and totally non-judgemental. I hope you like it and decide to stick around, I know I do and did!
Prawn curry for dinner with a bit of rice, a few potatoes, a little Indian bread and anything else I find lying around that needs using up. DH is busy marking his exams so I am about to go and start cooking it. But first I better feed the 3 naughty pets because I can hear one of them jumping in their dinner bowl!
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super eveningLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Its more expensive but iv found the meat is better so seems to go further. Apart from that trying to stay warm its been blowing a gale. Huge hugs to all x0 -
Evening
Had a little catch up, think its great that everyone is so supportive.
Tina I am sure you now know everyone has things in their lives they are not proud of/skeletons rattling around. Sure it was still a hard thing to do and credit to you, hope that doesnt sound patronising its not meant to be.
Also think that some of the comments (not the serious confessions) were funny and I did have a little chuckle.
Glad its Friday, one of those days rounded off one of those weeks. Did weekly shop at Ald! only £51 and bought few extras plus am starting another food parcel to take to DD when we visit at uni during half term.
I actually now get a bigger kick from saving money and getting a bargain than buying expensive things.... never thought I would find myself saying that but times have changed and its this and the other MS threads that made it bearable to begin with.
OS DW been on DS turn to empty, WM been on and washing now on airer, dinner tonight was pizza have to confess shop bought at least not delivery, but needed something quick and easy and its one of DS favourites, kitchen has had a good clean so am now going to have a glass of something cold and put my feet up for the rest of the evening.

Evening All
Really busy day at work, don't know where all the work comes from! Went up to local village after work with my new system for booking the village hall, not sure everyone will manage to phone or e-mail but we can try!
HM macaroni cheese for tea, not had that for ages and was very good. DW been on, washing washed and on airers, fire cleaned and lit and I have just sorted through 6 boxes of paperwork so now there are only 4 boxes, found loads of receipts for appliances from years ago, even the fridge which we bought in 2001!
Feeling quite pleased with myself so am having a cheeky G&T to celebrate!
Hugs to all those in need, welcome to the newbies. Take care. XX0 -
I've been at work today.
It was very busy, being the 1st of the month. Everyone likes to pay standing orders and direct directs on the 1st and that creates a lot of work for us.
I'm feeling a bit better now, but bit earlier I couldn't think straight, I was that tired!
Fortunately we had the other half of a casserole from the freezer, so no cooking to do for dinner.
I should get a good nights sleep tonight. I often wake up a couple of times a night which is annoying, but I'm so tired I should sleep straight through.
I've managed to put a load in the washing machine which is now drying on airers in the spare room, but that's all I'm doing tonight.
Have a good evening, allEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Miffy - hope you can relax now and count down the days til July!
Welcome to all the newbies
I was MIA yesterday, too busy and tired to post. And I will be MIA til Thursday now. I'm off to London tomorrow to go see the Strictly tour and Shrek the Musical, staying overnight (MSE special£20/night Ramada offer), and shopping on Sunday, home about midnight. Then I'm off on residential work trip with work kids Monday to Thursday. Bad timing having the 2 trips so close together :rotfl:but it'll be fine! HAve packed bag and case tonight.
Busy day, I don't teach on Fridays but had 2 meetings and lots of admin to sort out. Nice mood in the office, and got lots done. I also managed to acquire a huge pile of logs for my parents, they were chopping down trees in work so I hit up the workman for as many logs as I could squeeze in my minibus! My Dad came over to collect some of them tonight, and put the rest in my garden so he will get them in the week.
OS wise - dishes washed, recycling sorted, leftovers frozen, veg/salad used up before going away, kitchen cleaned, laundry put away.
Have a good evening all, catch you next week
