As soon as ATOS said he was fit for work, he was fit for work. He should then have either went and signed on for JSA and look for work. Or raised an appeal. If he raised an appeal, then they may have accepted his fit note would have been valid until January. On appeal you still have to provide fit notes.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

if they are back dating the stop date for benefits if you do a late appeal then you need matching sick note from the day they stopped paying benefits
late appeals can be done up to 13 months late and are normaly allowed. fill in gl24 dwp form and ask.
normaly sick notes are no longer valid the day they find you fit for work and stop paymentIn London, you're never more than 20 feet away from someone telling you you're never more than 20 feet from a rat .0 -
