Parking Eye fine

Dear forum members,
I have a major problem - I was attending a wedding in Manchester City and I had my severely disabled mother with me.
I entered a car park which was pitch black as there was no lighting - I attempted to check any notices or anything - I was unable to read anything - as it was so dark.
I then took my mother to the wedding venue and after dropping her in came back to remove my car as I wasn't sure about any charges or anything.
1 month later I received a letter from Parking Eye - with a photograph of my vehicle - and confirming I spent a total off 13 minutes in the car park.
I mistakenly replied - and appealed the decision - reading previous forum posts I understand I should have just ignored it - however now they know my name and know I was driving, they also have my address and vehicle registration number.
They have just come back confirming my appeal is rejected.
Shall I just pay the fine - or ignore their correspondence now?! I am a home owner and would hate to get a charge against my house.

:j£7200 in 24 months = £300 a month:j0 -
Why on earth would they be able to get a charge against your house?
Go into the Parking Tickets forum and read the huge number of threads about the thieving scamming scum Parking Eye. I've been on the wrong end of one of their scams myself.
Ignore and they'll go away0 -

Don't worry about it.
Just ignore any more letters you receive0 -

Are you serious? Parking Eye are just a tin pot bunch of scam artists.
Read the parking forum and ignore them.0 -
There are two ways of dealing with PE.
1) Ignore
2) Now they have rejected your appeal, insist on a Popla reference number, appeal to them and then ignore if rejected. This will cost them £27+vat, a good percentage just accept your appeal then as 66% of popla appeals are supposed to have been upheld so its odds on they will lose money.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Do not answer graft99!
Their behaviour on various Parking Eye threads, namely looking for info that might further identify the driver is very suspicious and redolent of a PPC stooge trying to put one over on you!0 -
ignore. ignore. ignore. keep their letters behind the clock on the mantleshelf. they will threaten alll sorts of stuff, but still ignore. would you give someone a ticket for parking outside your house and expect them to pay????? course you wouldnt!!!! i read somewhere that strictly speaking only 2 people can give you a fine. the police and the council. its a nice little scam though. robbing b***ers.0

I wish graft99 would put "PPC Stooge" as his sig to stop us having to do any detective work, just have a look at all previous posts ! Reported them.0
