I like it too just tried it!
I normally sort by end date on the advanced thread and enter comps that have been posted. (just getting back into it after about a month off)
I have found that I have missed loads!2012 wins

I think I am in this camp
But I have only just started comping so I don't have any established methods of looking at the comps yet.
So searching by end date works ok for me.0 -

You will probably miss quite a few using this method at the moment as there's a lot that have unknown end dates that are disappearing & there's still a lot that are posted the other way.
Good luck comping & I hope you adapt quickxx JoJo xx

Yeah see I thought that may be the case
Once I had exhausted the listings that way for the days comps I then tended to do a search with the date but obviously that's not doable anymore.
I can totally see the issues that have come about from this change though and it is rather sucky.
It's a shame they couldn't have implemented that when posting a comp an end date had to be chosen for the post to be posted if you get what I mean and then further along the way implemented the rule they have just landed us with.
But then what do you do about unknowns?
Argh it's just crappy
But I suppose I am a newbie in comp land and have a lot to learn, so oblivious to some isses that arise from this.0 -
I am against the change but thought it worth checking this thread to see if any one had found an advantage to it, sadly not.
The old system "sort by title" put posts in closing date order by date then month so 02/02, 02/03 etc then 03/02, 03/03 and so on meaning to get from 02/02 to 03/02 there would be some posts to pass over but all in order and hardly time consuming.
The new system has day and month order but you cannot search end dates and the date does not show if you save posts in favourites to come back to later.0 -
OK, A poll - this is for the reinstatement (unblocking) of posting the end date in the title. Let's see how people feel about that:

yes, i am an end date comper and if everyone put the end date in instead of unknown then it will work well. otherwise we will miss a lot of comps accidently. but the system looks good
also another point is it must be annoying for the admins to constantly ask for the subjects to be changed when not entered correctly so this is one less job for them to maintain
we dont pay to use this site so all the help, new idea's etc (and im sure everyone will agree) is very much appreciated.0 -
i press the blue and it comes up with the comps about to close or press again and it gives the ones longest date? is that right? having the closing comps at the beginning works for me smashing yes love itlove comping love winning more :rotfl:0
