Why aren't questions about penis health on the questionnaire?

What has it got to do with your employer whether your vagina is healthy or not? Does a healthy vagina mean you do a better day's work than someone without a healthy vagina? Perhaps you would like to wax lyrical about your vagina's health?

Have you actually seen the questionnaire? How do you know there aren't equivalent questions for men? I'm sure the question isn't just "how healthy is your vagina". Gynaecological covers a lot more than just vaginas.

Most men are quite happy to wax lyrical about their penises :rotfl:

Even if there was....it's completely irrelevant.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

About the right to work in the UK stuff, I never said it was an issue she understands why they need to have proof but considering she has proven this to them on starting work (with a valid UK passport which as stated does not expire)

Since when do passport's not expire?

Just so you know, there isn't any penis questions on the questionnaire, and it's all multiple choice as in 'yes' / 'no' there is no option of 'i'd rather not say'

She has been informed that she can answer every question 'no' if she wishes to, but she's rather check with HR that's ok first as her line manager isn't very reliable.

She doesn't care about proving she's a UK citizen, and it makes sense to me they'd check everyone instead of just some specific workers so as not to be accused of singling anyone out.

Thanks everyone for your input, she's decided that, if HR say there will be no repercussions if any answers given are found to be not true, then she's just going to answer 'no' on everything.

I'd be offended by how invasive most of these questions are. Every one of these things I've answered I can always link the questions to the job in some way, this one even asks if you have anxiety/depression. I'm surprised it's not asking if you pick your nose or not.

about the passport, if you prove you are a UK citizen with one then that proof never expires, there's no reason to check again.

    Thanks again all.

    Why would they be relevant?

Surely gynaecological questions are just part of general health? Certainly not offensive.

how would you know the answers to these questions that's what I'd like to know if you are not a doctor

I have never seen gynaecological questions on a medical form for work nor have I ever seen a gynaecologist to know the answers if I was ever asked.

I've had a look through the questionnaire, actually it's pretty invasive. The vast majority of it does not relate in the slightest to her work, everything from "mental health problems or complaints" to "gynaecological problems". One question asks if you've ever had radio or chemotherapy.

I would just put "PRIVATE" or something to that effect to any questions deemed to be too personal. I also take the view that mental health and gynaecological issues are none of the company's business!

I wouldn't find them offensive, I'd find them unnecessarily intrusive.

And no, I wouldn't term gynaecological questions 'general', I'd term them specific.

Lets see it from another angle...Mum has worked for the company for over eight years and she's recently been told she's diabetic but doesn't disclose the full details with HR.

Mum gets sick an ambulance is called ect ect.....Basically if HR had medical information on staff it could help narrow down what the issue is and prevention is better than cure.

Please excuse me for using such an example as I don't mean to cause any offence.

I agree with Yvonne13. We get old and so are mums. I believe the company is trying to help employees in a way so when something terrible happen it can be address easily.

Also, I don't mean to cause any offense.
