Hi all. Hope you are all well.

Just after a bit of advice. I have been offered the following deal by P4U. Is it any good?

Samsung Galaxy S3 - free
24 month contract: 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 1 GB data and 2 swappables (whatever they are in their spare time!)

Is it any good? Any other deals going around that are better? Sorry, I might come across super thick asking but I am the kind of person that normally goes "wow that's fab" and buys it and then finds that shed loads of people have got it a lot cheaper.

Thanks to anyone who can help and thanks for reading.

Been this price for a long while now. I did the same deal myself last October.
Its a decent enough deal if your going to make use of all the minutes etc. Otherwise Im pretty sure that the phone can be had cheaper..albeit with less data and a lot less minutes.

my husband got this deal last oct seems good if u need the minutes/data
    What goes around-comes around
  • Do they want you to give them your old phone as part of the deal? And what's a swappable?
Its a fair enough deal if they don't take your old phone, but you can find some bargains if you shop around online and trust cashback deals.
Alternatively try haggling, P4U staff have freedom to negotiate, if you try.
Try searching for "samsung s3" on hotukdeals.com for some examples.
  • The full price of this monthly deal is £36 with a bill credit of £7.50 - Orange will charge you £36 and you will see it on your bill that P4U have paid £7.50 towards it with your remaining balance being £28.50. P4U didn't explain this to me properly when I took out the deal and it took about 3 months to sort out - resulting in me being charged the full £36 for 2 months and getting 2 months' worth of the "bill credit" refunded to me as cash (after several phonecalls and e-mails). It is all sorted now but thought I should make you aware.

I am delighted with the phone and price and I couldn't really see any better elsewhere at the time.

If you are currently with Orange - you may be able to do what I did. I was currently on £10/month deal - 50mins, 250gb, unlimited texts etc.

Was told upgrade would cost £250 for the S3 phone plus needed to pay £26/month minimum.

Went online instead to Orange site- selected upgrade phone but kept my monthly tariff the same - paid £250 for the phone and have stayed on £10/month.

Equivalent of £20.41/month all in! Bargain. And no doubt a glitch!
