Emptying an LPG Tank

I've changed to an air source heat pump and this is working well. My original intention was to use the least of the LPG in the tank but the boiler has got wind of the fact that it is on its way out and broken down, possibly expensively! I'm going to have to sort out removal of the tank with my supplier but does anybody know if suppliers can empty tanks as easily as they fill them? I presume so but it would be good to know this before I contact my supplier. Thanks.

  • I'm sure when I ditched LPG my supplier (Flogas) gave me the option to have the gas removed if I had over a certain amount (I think it was something like they couldn't uplift if it had more than 5% in it or something). I told them to jog on though as of course they weren't prepared to pay me the price per litre to take it back as I had paid to get it. Oh those cheeky so-and-so's at Flogas. How I miss them (NOT!).
