No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in Feb

Well I have a UU and an IN
IN Ted Baker Body Scrub 300ml
UU Body Shop Ginger Body Polish 200ml
HOWEVER, the IN came from a gift set bought in January that was in my presents stash.
Also, I have used 2/3 of my existing and identical Ted Baker scrub (both from the purple case gift sets) and find it's very odd, it doesn't seem to adhere to the skin at all, so using it is like dragging a lump of something across your skin, you have to really push down on your skin to make it disperse and scrub you, so I decided to mix the remainder of the tub with some BS Ginger as I find the smell a bit much, and it's now perfect, so I'm going to do the same with second Ted Baker tub so using up the rest of the Ginger one. Result = no wastage!
Now, did you follow all that? :rotfl:No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I have just had a phone call from my dear brother - he is at HOME!:j:j
To keep on topic, I start February with 6 IN's, my Elemis belated chrissie present has arrived.
That's great news about your brother maddiemay. Enjoy your Elemis kit. I think I'm going to open another one of the body oils after my bath later.BeNiceToMySelf wrote: »wow you are strong willed! I'm still going to get mine although I at least have a few unopened hand cream tubes.
Yes, I don't see anything wrong with stockpiling L'occitane hand creams for free! xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I'm in again, only managed one UU last month but I did join towards the end of the month
I also have a few INs:
Benefit Lemon Aid
Essie Good to go top coat
(both bought with boots points, as recommended by lovely people on this thread)
L'Occitane Hand Cream freebie... will prob go into the present stash!
Have a few things which are spluttering so fingers crossed for a few use ups soon!
Looking forward to seeing how you get on with Lemon Aid and the Essie top coat.
I'm sitting here in my pyjamas but reckon once I've washed and applied my makeup my Spackle will be gone. The Lemon Aid ring in my pot seems to be everlasting though!
Repainted my nails last night and am wearing China Glaze Red Satin that I received from my Secret Santa at Christmas. My hands have finally cleared up as well. The only shopping I'm planning to do today is food shopping and I don't intend looking at toiletries aisles at all. Also only caught a very short snippet of QVC yesterday long enough to see the Leighton Denny TSV colours and think euugh before MrM turned the TV over. Another £5.00 in the jar then.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Maddiemay, that's great news.
My first UU this month: Clarins Vital ligh day SPF15, this was a generous freebie a couple of years ago. WNBA, the moisturiser made my skin feel dry.
The spending for February has already been done, this was a planned purchase though. Not planning on buying anything else now.
I bought L'occitane shea butter protective cream SPF 20 and because I spent £30 I then got the following as freebies:
Shea butter honey hand cream 30ml
ultra rich face cream, 15 ml - my favourite night cream
Shea butter cleansing milkx 2
Shea butter refrehsing cloth
Shea butter day moisturiser 8%
Have a nice weekend. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
I have two GAs already this month:
Yves Rocher anti-age global for dry skin 1ml
Chanel perfection lumiere beige 0.9ml
Both were freebie samples, added them in to my friend's present as she is a) a chanel fan and b) turning 30 so I thought the anti ageing was appropririate ;-)
I mixed up another body oil the night before last - I prefer using oil to lotion and it gives me an opportunity to mix up the products I am using. Last week I made up an oil with neroli, rosewood and sweet orange, this week was rosemary, eucalyptus and a drop of tea tree (I may have been inspired by my liz earle cleanse and polish). Used the oil as a moisturiser and for a back massage this morning. I like doing this and am definitely going to look in to doing an aromatherapy course.0 -

Rosemary - I hope you have rescued the merinue, such a pain about the brulee, particularly when it has worked before, hope the dinner party goes well.
great news about your brother, the creme brulle was tasty but small (we had some last night but not very pretty to serve tonight!)I cooked the merangue a bit more and broke it into bits to mix with raspberries/blackberries and redcurrents in liquer...fruit we grew last year and cream to make Eton mess and will not mention disaster as they won't know:rotfl:

Brilliant news maddiemay, glad to hear your brother's back home!
I'm in again this month, thanks Itzybitzy for starting this month's thread, I'm going to be in it for all of this year!
Few UUs this past week -
Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream 75ml. Has been sitting on my desk at work for ages so I brought it home, cut it open and used it as body lotion this morning. Lovely lovely stuff, not greasy at all so WBA.
Bamford Geranium body lotion 50ml. Really nice but it's expensive so WNBA unless I was treating myself.
L'Oreal anti dandruff shampoo sample. WNBA, nothing special.
Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant 2.5ml sample. HG product so WBA.
Frizz Ease Secret Agent Perfecting Creme 100ml. Has been spluttering for ages. Was trying to get the dregs out when some of it landed on my wrist and started irritating me - took ages for the itching to stop even after it washed off.And it's also irritated my face where the ends of my hair brush against me so it's gone from HG to WNBA. Shame as it helped keep my hair from frizzing.
:(:(:(:( Oh well plenty other products in the stash to try instead!! :rotfl:
Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist 15ml. WBA, love the fragrance, but have a big bottle of Neal's Yard frankincense toner to use up first.
I also have 19 sachets of conditioner to give away and since I don't use the stuff (much prefer leave in stuff) my Dad's taken them off my hands! :j
So that more than makes up for the 6 Dr Hauschka samples that I've just received - cleansing milk, cleansing cream, clarifying toner, lavender bath, melissa day cream and normalising day oil. In my defence most are going aside for taking on holiday and they were a bargain! :rotfl:
Have a lovely weekend everyone!!:)No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.0
