Aveda volumizing tonic - this was such a LHJ, I doubt I would buy again despite it working (very slightly)

Had decided I was going to order the TSV when we arrived back home at @5.00 and found it had sold out. Ah well was not to be xx
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • DD stayed at her grandads yesterday and I had a rare night out with my DH (we only went for a meal but still). By reading this thread ive realised that life is too short for hoarding special things so I cracked opened the lotions and potions ive been saving for best and had a pampering session.

UU Glamglow face mask WMBA although this tingled on application ( a lot) this died down and has left my face smooth, lifted and radiant. There are probably others that do a similar job but cheaper so will investigate before repurchase.

Have sold some products on ebay so will add in the totals later when I have packed the items already paid for.

    3 UU's to start Feb.

Hydraluron which I bought on 29th August, mostly use once per day so quite :money: Have new one to start tomorow.
30g Jason Hand cream. WBA as I quite like Jason products (except the hair condtioner which is too thick to get out of the bottle!, think I will have to use brute force to transfer it into a pot).

15ml Balance Me Cleanse and Soothe Face Balm MBA, may have another sample in stash.

TA 2 part containers heat safe type hair spray - too sticky and leaves hair helmet like.
    Hi Maddie,

How do you find the Hydraluron? I have just read about it, and am wondering if it would be helpful for me, as I am trying to clear the remains of an allergic reaction that appeared on my face (not a reaction to skincare). I tried to get a sample from Boots, but that was the only product from that range that didn't have a tester :(

Or I could go buy Lush Ultrabland and see if that works on my eyes as well, but I'm used to using a separate eye makeup remover and have sensitive eyes so worry about using a non eye specific remover.

I used to use Ultrabland many moons ago and found that it really got everything off! But I felt I had to tug a bit at my skin to get it to work Now I just use Mac Cleanse off Oil all over my face and follow with my Avene Cleanser.

Speaking of the Avene, apparently they've changed the formula yet again! So when this one runs out I might just go for the La Roche Posay version.

  • Just popping in to report an IN -

L'oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil - 3.5ml sachet that came with a magazine purchase. Apparently it's supposed to make your hair perfect :P

I had to laugh though, theres 3.5ml in it and the instructions say to "use 2 drops". I realised that before this challenge I would have used 2 drops, spilled the rest because I would have inevitable tried to open the sachet with wet hands and wasted it. It has literally only just occurred to me to decant the sachet before using. Doh!!

Also just wanted to say the Urban Decay eyeliner was a nightmare to remove. Mind you I don't think the No.7 remover I'm using at the moment is really good enough so won't be buying again once its a UU. So when the time comes will need to decide if I should get the Clinique take off the day again or try something else.
Clinique TtDO is the make-up remover that works best for me.
