Shop online that way you can swap your shopping about until you are on budget (whatever level you choose for each product) then check out.
You will not be tempted then.
Save a little for bread and milk and then buy them when you are not hungry.
Good luck with it. It is hard but once you have seen a few strategies work, you will be hooked and looking for more ways of saving money. Lol,0 -

Not sure what your asking but if you get paid every 4 weeks work out what you have left once all the bills are paid and you can get an idea what you should have for food.
Maybe create a spreadsheet in excel showing bills and salary and do calculations to show what you should have left at end of the month.0 -

I will do that once I get paid this February I have already started a spreadsheet to keep track and how much I need to spend.PDL Free!

I would buy online but it is not worth it for something as minor as toilet roll and milk and I need to stop because that is what is biting most of my monthly budget and I am not eating what I already have just rrstocking like a squirrel.
Any ideas or helpful hints?
Running out of a non perishable essential like toilet roll but nothing else suggests you are disorganised which takes you back to needing to write a list.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I've found doing most of our shopping online is the only way but it does take making lists and being organised xx0

I don't do a weekly shop. I just buy things when they are on offer, got YS on them or like things like dried herbs and spices when I run out.0

If you just need a couple of items as someone else said just go directly there & don't look at anything else. Also don't get a trolley use a basket you'll be more aware of what you're buying or if you just need a couple of things carry them in your hands without a basket!
Or perhaps if you just need a couple of things the local shop might hold less appeal to pick up things you don't need, although each item will probably cost more than at the SM.
Good luck! :-)0
