O/S Daily Thursday 31st 2013 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Morning all,
Pouring with rain here, and blowing a hoolie, looks like we are in for a day of it, hope there is no more flooding.
Work today, and then something with chips for dinner, will put a wash on tonight, and get it on the airer.
Tesco delivering tonight, and I will need to have a quick tidy round, thank goodness its nearly the end of the week, its bee a long working week.
Have good days all xx

Good Morning Redruby & all to follow.
Don't have time to post everyday at the moment but I try and pop in when I can.
Really windy here too, hopefully it will start drying things up. Having a cip of tea and a quick surf whilst trying to wake up DS - its a battle everyday.
OH is at home today as no work, think he will be pottering around in the garage. Me - I have my awful filing job to do but it is a wonderful feeling when its done.
Tonight we are having chicken legs with Nando's peri peri marinade with chips.
Not much else to report, still scarily skint at the moment but managingbut at least January is virtually over :j
Have a great day all.x0 -
Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Now getting light here this morning, wet and windy. Has been raining really hard in the night.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was roast chicken, decided to do roast pots and then roast some new potatoes and parsnips, carrots and onions - then did steamed carrots, and broccolli also peas and mushrooms mixed - all went down well with clean plates. Not sure again what to have tonight - will organise this at some point today.
Have the normal list of chores to be going on with, printed off the flylady sheet last night and it covered Monday to Thursday - so once I'm properly up and ready to get going - I will make a start, I'm thinking I will do my normal round of chores then work from the level 1's on the list and just keep going and get as much as I can, if that makes sense! Still in a cba mood so really need to set small targets that I can achieve otherwise I get overwhelmed with how much there is to do and nothing gets done! Found out yesterday that I have had another week's holiday authorised for 25 Feb - need to use hols up by end of March, so will use that week to really get stuck in to flylady etc. We're going away for 1 night this weekend, we'll leave Sat morn first thing, so that will be nice as it's a dinner etc on Sat night. Have been really good with my eating too and have lost a few pounds that had crept back on, will continue with this as want to try to lose a bit more.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all,
A big thank you for all your support yesterday. I feel so much better now we have started tackling things head on.
Today will be spent filling in paperwork and sending different things off to Step Change. Will just be glad when everything is in place and the debt starts to actually reduce.
Tina, Bargainbird, big hugs and positive vibes x
So a quick potter around and some breakfast before I shut myself in the office (spare room) and get on with stuff.
Dh at work and ds3 at college.
Struggling with my diet as well at the mo, I think it's because I have so much on my mind, will keep plodding on.
Tea tonight will be chicken curry and rice with naan bread.

Morning all!
Wet and wild here , hope it clears up for tomorrow as its my ladies who lunch day with my friend, tomorrow we are going for tapas and no doubt some vino will be consumed as we put the world to rights!
Dinner tonight is chicken and chorizo casserole which is in the fridge half ready as I was making it for yesterday till DD called to say she was going to the BFs.
DS built his wardrobe and finished reorganising his room yesterday before work, what a difference however my room currently has bags of junk piled waiting to go to the dump guess what I will be doing later???
Oh well, off to empty WM and see what else I can get up to, really need to get out the ladders and start scrubbing the bathroom, who's idea was shiny white brickwork tiles in the bathroom ,knew we should have gone for the wetwall all the way around instead of just inside the shower!RIP Iain

Just remember Even little steps like filling in paper work, Are big steps as they get you closer to paying off all your Debt.
It might seem only a small sep. But if you don't take it. The debt will only get bigger and you will get farther away from being debt free.
Keep up the good work:j:j
You will get there one day:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Found out yesterday the solicitors where I used to work have gone into administration  feel sorry for the support staff as they are likely to be the ones being shafted
Not sure what's for tea tonight, must go and rummage in freezer. I made turkey burgers last night for tea and they were a hit with H (who refuses to eat beef).
