Struggling to Pay Credit Cards

and am thinking of letting the credit card companies that we struggling and reach some agreement and stop interest but am worried because our fixed term with our mortgage runs out in one years time, and am worried that if i tell credit card companies it will go on my credit score and will struggle to get a mortgage when this mortgage expires. any help would be appreciated, have been unable to get a loan to consolidate credit card debt, which would be much cheaper in long run because am only making minimum payments

How much equity do you have in your house? Perhaps you could add the CC debt to your mortgage and extend the term?
  • Hi racy8147 and welcome to the forum!

Sorry to read about your current difficulties.

You could create a Statement of Affairs (SOA) using this calculator on stoozing.com. Select the option to format it for MSE and post the results up in the Debt-Free Wannabe forum (it's on a different part of MSE). It's a very friendly and supportive forum and completely non-judgemental too! :)

If you choose that option, it might be helpful if you give relevant background information that lead to your current circumstances as this will maximise the opportunity of receiving the best advice. An SOA allows you to take a really close look at your all your monthly budgetary inflows and outflows. By allowing members of the forum to see the SOA you will be able to to reap the benefit of their experiences and advice in regaining control of your finances.
