iPhone 4s - Changed number query.

Have changed number but phone is still displaying the phones original number.

Can this be changed?

The number is attached to the sim card.

What does this mean ?

When you phone someone else do they see your old number ?

Alternatively is it somewhere on your phone you see this old number ?

Slightly bizarrely on an iPhone you can set what I think is your outgoing CLI. It is in Settings > Phone > My Number

Try making that your new number and see if that sorts it.

Are you sure you can edit that number? I would be surprised if the CLI across the network can be spoofed so easily.

Many thanks all.

Pressing Contacts, then at top of the display is 'My Number' which was not changeable from this screen but was displaying the phones original number.

The new number is working though, when making/receiving calls.

As advised, Settings/Phone/My Number - Allowed the number to be changed.

The Contacts 'My Number' display is now correct.
