Can't decide whether to get an iPhone 5, the HTC One SV or the Galaxy s 3. Music is a huge deciding point, i've spent a lt on money on downloads using pass apple handsets, so i'd need to be able to transfer then to a different handset brand, and if i left Apple i'd need a decent music download app, like itunes.

I haven't followed HTC handsets for a while, the S3 is too big, Apple told you so, so the only option for you is the IP5.
Although there is strong rumour to an IP5s or IP match coming around June, also an S4 (but that is too big remember).
Your only option is the IP5.0 -

Don't worry about getting music onto a non-apple phone. I have an android phone (galaxy S2), but use iTunes on my PC to manage all my music, get downloads etc.
Then I use an app called TuneSync (cost me about £3.50 I think) to transfer play-lists from iTunes onto my phone, works like a dream.
OK, I can't download music straight from the iTunes store into my phone if I'm out and about, but I just wait until I'm home and do it then.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -

Heh heh, well it's pointless yet another which operating system/ hardware is the best thread.
Some say Apple is the best some say Android is the best, some say windows is the best, it wouldn't surprise me how many will copy from the BB10 that is being launched today. As far as I know they all play music, the ipod touch has greater volume than the mobile phone I use, but I don't know if that is the case with the iphones. Music transfer is easy on all platforms. So my suggestion is to stick to the iphone that you are used to (not that the others are any less easy to use) :cool:0 -
You might want to consider a Nexus 4, £/performance it's easily the best.
Apparently they will be back on sale from 15:00 today.0 -

Samsung are set to unveil the Galaxy S4 and rumours abound of the 7th generation iPhone. I'm an ardent iPhone fan but even I have to concede that the Galaxy S3 beats the 6th Generation iPhone. The only downside is Android.
I've only used iOS for non-physical portable music so I've never needed to transfer between device. However I wouldn't imagine it would be too much hassle. You realise you can find all of your iTunes music easily in Windows?MentalMinnie wrote: »...need a decent music download app, like itunes.
iTunes is an abomination of an awful interface. It's one the (few) downsides of the iOS approach.MentalMinnie wrote: »All thoughts welcome!0 -

Ignore the OneSV. It's crap - not even as good as the OneS it replaces.
Probably its only plus point is that its 4G ready, but if you're not bothered about that then make your choice between the iphone and the galaxy. In case you are, then the iphone 5 will only work on EE and, in the future, 3's 4G networks. O2 and Vodafone's 4G offerings, when they are up and running, will be on a frequency the iphone isn't compatible with.
Your music should be fine unless you bought lots from itunes prior to March/April 2009. Before then all downloads were protected against being used on other devices.
Go find demo phones, have a look at friends etc and make your own choice about what you like.0 -
Well, i'm quite a fan of Google Music now. Why don't you have a try with it? It can sync all the music you've got in iTunes into the 'Google Music' cloud. You can then access it via the web or using their android app.
It will work with iOS if you access it through a browser
I'm not quite sure of the point of 4G.. I was sitting in my barbers, watching TV streaming over 3G today. I don't quite know why I'd need it to be any faster0 -
Does anyone know when the new Galaxy is due out?0
