I would be really interested in seeing this as I have just started my own company.
A business advisor has advised me to become VAT registered and I thought that if I do that I may as well go the whole hog and become and Ltd.
Thanks in advance

Have a look on the companies house website, it has useful information about setting up and running compamies (from an administrative point of view) and what you need to file with companies house, etc."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

I've sent a few of these out...
Someone (BS7) has kindly edited it to make it 'copyright' friendly and as html.
I am hosting them here:

I thought I'd bump this up - perhaps it could be made a 'sticky'?0

These guys will set up a ltd company for only £25 + VAT = £29.36. http://www.companiesmadesimple.com/index.htm
I tried them last week and they're fast & efficient. Everything is done online and you can track the progress of your co formation online too. I applied on the afternoon of the 1st October and the company was incorporated the next working day; if you apply in the morning they can apparently get it formed the same working day.0 -
With that you don't get a certificate of incorporation which I believe you'll need to open a bank account?
Their next package up that has one is £39.99 - John is there a way around the certificate issue? DIY?0 -

I have applied for the (free) A&L business account and no certificate was requested.0 -
