    The debit card usage wouldn't show in terms of standard credit checks, but a mortgage lender may ask to see bank statements. That could potentially cause problems. Also, your bank would obviously see this info which may influence their view on future lending decisions.

    If you were to use your credit card, it gets reported as cash usage, which is generally used as a higher risk indicator.


    Do you think 1% of monthly income would cause issues?

    I'm not disagreeing I just don't know and hadn't thought of it. I'm not looking to get a mortgage at the moment but I think I will always do some casual gambling on Betfair and so it may be a problem in the future, if that is the case.

    All I can definitively say is that it could. A small amount, assuming the rest of your credit rating and details stack up, probably won't have an impact. But all lenders are different and criteria change all the time.

    Or why else would credit card providers class gambling as a cash transaction :rotfl:

    Although to be honest it should be that you cannot gamble with money that is not yours.
