I am sure you can travel abroad without restriction as far as the UK laws are concerned

    HOWEVER

as an aside (I cannot swear that this is true but I have no reason to doubt it.) An australian friend with whom I was talking about my BR told me that in Australia a BR has to give up their passport while undischarged BR and are not allowed to travel abroad without permission from the australian version of OR. It also seems BR restictions are tougher there, don't know if any "oz" readers are here and could elaborate

Was more wondering about the OR side of things. Am i legally obliged to remain in this Country for my three year IPA or can i take the oportunity described above...? Without getting into trouble. :$

You are free to take the opportunity. :) (I've heard of quite a few people going to work abroad after BR).

If you are undischarged your duties to the OR under UK law remain; but in a practical sense for most people this means making sure the OR has a direct correspondence address and that you meet the terms of any IPA.

Once discharged it is only the IPA you need be concerned with. In your case plantpot100, since you will be doing voluntary work, I would imagine that the IPA would be suspended without fuss.
