  • :eek:Did someone mention christmas :eek: Going to pretend I never read that!

Didnt know you could sell books to Amazon, isit easy or a right faff? I have a tonne of books that could really do to go. Do you have to wait until someone buys them or just scan them and send the lot?
  • Mayfair I am going to TRY at least..;-)..there are a few that won't make it to the Amazon box... but some that should!

You can either sell them straight onto Amazon like eBay and wait on someone else buying it but at a risk or there being MANY books the same and being out done by someone who is giving them away for £0.01p or free postage etc... with the Trade-In you are paid by Amazon for them. A low amount sometimes though and the books have to be in "good" condition... and you can only spend the money as Amazon credit - you are not sent a checque. I might try a few other sites first but Amazon is the easiest and more user friendly ( free postage to them too )....

Some people need to start early on Christmas.. I have seen it mentioned.. few bits gathered here and there. Lists made, presents made ( cross-stitch a picture for Mum and Aunties - takes a while ).. that kind of thing...:D

  • Grrrrr I am SO cross with myself. Took the kids to the cinema which I'd already allowed and then went to the shops and bought them both a game ~ why did I do this??? They certainly didn't need them and its completely blown my 'spend' budget :(

I've also just realised DS1 has a hospital appt on Friday so that'll be another £15 I didn't allocate for travelling :(

Please do a March challenge Kat ~ this month has certainly shown me my downfalls....
  • Wahooooo to some whipass!!! I need putting in my place!

I know that sounds wrong lol but i am a woman with a small self destruct button burning a whole in my head at the minute. I need to stay focused and the harder i try the worse that button burns. Found out today that oh won't be back at work next week, he needs more time which makes it harder for me cos i have to do more overtime. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but i have been ill myself for 2 months and i am just exhausted.

For some reason this added stress makes me wanna blow it all. But with 2 little dependants n 1 big one i need this challenge.

OK yes i'm probably one of those people who do need to actually start early for christmas (having 3 children).... in fact selling the books for amazon credit would actually be a good place to start!!!! :A
  • I'm up for a March challenge after failing a bit on this one. (Sig needs updating later when on pc). I'm also going to challenge myself to check in every day too as I have been a bit MIA this month.

I have noticed though that I am watching more of what I'm spending my money on. Need to take lunch to work more too.

Please keep the challenges coming NSK they are brilliant and we all need to stick together!! :)

  • Evening, had a lovely day out with M :) Film was good - Sammys Great Escape in 3D and I found some clubcard cinema vouchers so only had to pay the upgrade to 3D (we took our own glasses). M and I shared a drink and ben and jerrys in the end and then had tea at McD's comprising 2 happy meals and some extras. In the end though, spent no more than expected. Even managed a walk round debenhams and toys r us and didn't spend anything! Bag returned so £40 back on my CC and my new watch which I got before xmas has been adjusted for free so I can wear it now :)

I am really struggling with SFDs this month but then I knew it would be hard, I will be spending most days over half term. Will plan and try harder in March. Tomorrow we are having a day out with some other mums and kids involving a trip on the train and probably chippie chips or cafe for lunch.

On a bright note to finish, hubby has got his phone back. Someone handed it in at the bus station on Monday morning :)

Right, time to get the little man in bed and read some more harry potter!

Looked through my books and found a few text books etc. Unfortunately, they're from my uni days and old editions (90's) and they're not on the amazon trade in. As they're quite heavy too I'm not sure how or if to sell them. Had a few other books on Amazon for ages (months) even some being the lowest price but they don't shift :(

Fiance (love saying that rather than BF ;) ) is away tomorrow night and I might have another rummage/declutter. He said I am going to get the £180 back tomorrow he borrowed last month (woohoo), so I can fill a few holes again, without thinking all my ebaying is going to that. We'll see how he does next month ;).

Already got a few watchers again and one bid on things that end Sunday. If it's free listing on ebay a might relist a few things that haven't sold as I won't have time to put new stuff on this weekend.

  • Oh, Amazon trade in sounds like a good thing to me! I've never really bothered eBaying books because the cost vs. effort trade off.

Unfortunately I've just packed the books I thought I could sell, so I will have to sort that out next week!
