I don't think you are over reacting. Apart from the time you spent on your listing getting it right, if it is a rare item then potential buyers will no doubt look at both the items and will come to the conclusion that both the sellers are the same person with different id's and wonder why the item is for sale twice and may think it's some kind of scam.0

Thats something else I didnt think of...
Does anyone know how long it takes ebay to act after reporting this kinda thing?0 -
report the lazy thieving seller. agree descriptions and presentation can really influence a sale - as do photos. some ebayer stole one of mine - too late for me to realize and report. the photo had taken me forever to compose and shoot and make my item look different from others. i was furious and now will occasionally look up and check the listings of some of my sold items to police my hard work! good luck0

I've reported the same person 3 times (they used 2 different accounts). The first time ebay took 48 hours for the listing to be removed, the second time ebay removed it immediately and the third time it took about 24 hours. They finally seem to have got the message and haven't copied my listing lately. If it isn't removed after about 48 hours either use live chat or phone customer services.0 -
Report them......keep doing it until removed. I find they remove it quicker if repeatedly reported....hopefully once will be enough. Good luck0
