ebay feedback survey

i just left feedback for someone and then got the opportunity to take a survey regarding the new feedback system.

i said i liked the new rating system

but i said i didn't like it that everything i've bought and sold is being displayed on my feedback page, including showing how much i have sold items for and what clothes/bra size i am

I had this a few days ago, and said almost exactly the same as you did. Yes, the star rating system is okay.... but openly showing everything you have bought (including what could be seen as quite personal details.....underwear sizes etc etc) is another matter. I said I thought it was intrusive and hoped it would be removed in the very near future.

I was checking someones feedback the other day. I was only interested in seeing what buyers had said about their experience with the seller, but there in full view was the fact that the seller had recently bought a penis enlargement pump!!! Now admittedly I did have a little giggle....but it is really none of my business at the end of the day what this person buys, and I am sure the poor bloke doesnt want this info on display for all to see.

I did the survey but was a bit concerned as people who had collected items from me rather than postage had missed this part of the star ratings and so lowered my overall score in postage section.

I hadnt even thought of that!! There needs to be a 'Not Applicable' button for each star-rating section then.

in that case you really should have clicked the feedback as a seller tab

Yup, I see what you mean, but if you have something in your 'Items I am Watching' list, and click on the feedback number next to the sellers name, it shows ALL feedback. So there it was....the penis pump!!

when we got the keys to our house and started removing all the rubbish/old furniture we found an empty box for a "penis enlarger" down the back of the wardrobe, along with a metre stick :rotfl:

When you leave feedback, it says "Note: Each detailed rating is optional. Rate the seller only on the criteria that apply to the transaction." They put that bit underneath the star rating section though, so a lot of buyers will miss it and think they're supposed to give a rating for each of the 4 criteria listed, even if only some apply.

I've had a couple of lower ratings for postage price even though I weigh everything and charge the correct amount!.....
And really ,even if I did over-charge ,the price is set and you either agree to it or buy elsewhere.....
I also usually post next day if not the following. Only illness or something major on the very rare occasion stops me from doing so.So it's not like some who charge for first class but post 5 days later....where's the logic in that...very annoying
