Booking outbound and inbound flights separetly

Hi

I'm trying to book flights for family going to barcelona at short notice, as a consequence Easyjet is very expensive and I don't really want to fly Ryanair which doesn't work out much cheaper anyway. I'm looking at booking the outbound and inbound separately as I can get reasonable prices then, the return flight would be with Monarch but its giving the price in euros. Am I allowed to book tickets like this? Will the inbound ones be honoured?

If there is a Paypal option, your fares will be taken in the currency shown by the airline. There will be the usual pp/Bank fee.

Absolutely. I often book return trips on two separate one-way tickets. Only downside is if the outbound flight is cancelled as you may then be stuck with a return part that you can't use.

Of course you can. One way flights are always priced in the currency of the departing country.

The likes of Easyjet don't have the concept of "returns" anyway so it's easy and common for people to book one ways. Some flight search sites such as Skyscanner have the option of booking outward and return flights with different airlines.

Not quite true... if you book a "return" package with Easyjet and the outbound flight is cancelled for some reason, you will be offered a refund/rebooking of the entire trip; if you book two separate one-way trips you don't have this protection.
