i would call them and ask why, I just got a new CC through nationwide and I already had 3 other cards, 1 was clear though but the other 2 were about 80% maxed out,
to be honest i did not think i would get it when applying0 -
Maybe my history indicates I don't use much credit, so they couldn't make any profit out of me!

maybe it is, if one of my empty cards give me a 0% balance transfer anytime soon, all my CC debt will be 0% and paid off in 15 months, :j
then time to start on overpaying mortgage more0 -

Can't think of any other reason mate. There's something not right, but I'll be damned if I know what it is.0 -
Are you a LLoyds TSB customer anyway?
Normally you can only apply if their system says you can otherwise you get an automatic decline.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Lloyds seem a bit weird with their credit cards, they offered my wife a CC with a 2k limit, while she was unemployed (she's banked with them for over 10 years mind you and has been behaving financially in the last 6 years since I met her and started educating her that debt isn't a good thing). She applied and they gave it to her, solely based on internal credit scoring, they didn't even check the CRA's as the woman at the bank did it in front of us while we were there.
At the same time, I asked what my chances were of getting the same card and was flat out told 'none', while I'm making over 40k a year, have a crispy clean credit file, always have a generous running balance on my account and have my wages paid into my Lloyds account (banked with them for about 4 years). I too have a Halifax card though, on which they happily offered me a 7k limit, so there might be some truth to the banking group only giving out one card.0 -

Might explain something, I was declined their Avios Duo card but already hold a Halifax Clarity.
No matter, the Clarity is worth more to me in saved fees than some Avios, but would've been nice to have both!0 -

Not So. I hold a Halifax clarity Credit card and was recently approved for a Bank of Scotland credit card. The details appeared on my Halifax online account even before I got the card.0 -
