Yodel!!

Yodel - they really are useless.

I organised a collection for Saturday the 19th January and they attempted collection on Friday 18th January but no-one was in.

I phoned up and they said it was snowing - it would be tuesday at the earliest before they could collect.

It is now a week later and it still isn't collected and I phoned again and was told that they couldn't re-arrange collection due to timelapse between attempted collection (even though it was on the wrong day and I was told they would try again so was waiting for at least a card saying they attempted delivery - but none arrived!).

Need to arrange with very now for them to re-organise the collection

Yodel really are rubbish.

    Totally agree with you.

Yesterday, I had 1 delivery and 2 collections arrranged with 3 differtent companies. Which collection is still sitting in the hall? Yep, you guessed, the one for Yodel. No contact/word from them.

Ring them today, or they will claim they aren't able to sort it.

Why use a company that insists on delivering by yodel?
  • I have stopped buying online with the Disney Store because they are constantly using Yodel even for small items.

I have an order dispatched on Wednesday for delivery on Friday, I wasn't about on Friday so went on to Yodel's website and changed the delivery date to Monday. Get home on Thursday, card through the door as they tried to deliver. Again, go to Yodel's website again change delivery to Monday. Get home Friday, card through the door again. Try to call Yodel, can't get through. Go online again and change delivery to Monday.

Saturday morning, knock at door - its my parcel.....

Why offer a service to change the delivery date if no one looks at it! FYI, Saturday delivery wasn't an option, hence why I chose Monday yet it still comes on Saturday...

I didn't know who they used when I placed the order but living in NI a lot of companies have massive surcharges for posting to NI - so we don't have as wide as choice as most people

I've just closed accounts with 2 companies that only offer delivery by Yodel. I know the loss of my business will make little difference to them, but it'll save me no end of hassle.

My problem was with a collection rather than a delivery. It was an Amazon order delivered by DPD (which I found excellent, they even sent an e-mail advising a one-hour delivery window) but the order needed to be returned and Yodel was the only option from Amazon.

When I phoned to complain, it took me 30 minutes to speak to a very rude person who promised that his manager would phone back within 24 hours, which didn't happen. In future, I will boycott any company using Yodel.

I was very nervous when I ordered something from zooplus.co.uk on Monday - as I clicked to pay, I realised it was going to be delivered by Yodel and I instantly thought of all the incidents I've read on MSE.

I prepared myself for the worst and my parcel arrived safe and sound today, delivered to my office as requested. It's not an easy address to find, but the driver found it OK.

I guess one success story doesn't make a summer, but I wanted to share some good news.

You might as well rename the thread "Yodel 2013" as I suspect there will be a lot more posts in the coming months...Just ordered something from an Amazon Marketplace seller so I hope to God they've stuck with Royal Mail...
