Estate agents not calling back

We have put in an offer on a house but the estate agents haven't called back despite chasing this up. Should I be worried, or is it likely that the vendor is considering the offer? I don't want to sound desperate and chase again!

Presumably they are either (a) incompetent , (b) have other bids which they are taking more seriously than yours or (c) there is some other issue (maybe the vendor is unavailable?)
It really shouldn't be necessary, but it is best to make an offer over the phone then confirm the offer/circumstances in writing in a letter through the vendor's letterbox and cc the EA.0 -
Drop them an email asking for an update.0

imo, definitely ring them.
emails are not high priority and can be ignored.0 -
I would call into the office and ask, it's harder to brush you off if it's face to face.0

I would either post your offer to the estate agents office or if you can call in and hand it to a member of staff.
Ask for the agents name and make sure they understand that this is a firm offer on Number XX Windsor Castle, Queens Road, London
Have you name, email, mobile and any other details
We are offering £44,000,000 and want the guards and crown jewels included in the price !!!
Good Luck0 -
