CI top up card for smart tv!

Hi

Friend has a new smart tv which can take a CI card for top up tv?
Does any one know where to purchase this card?HOw exactly it works? Is it worth while?Any offers/deals kicking around?
What kind of channels you can get?Is it reliable? Is it easy to set up?
Is there a yearly contract involved?

Any help/advice would be apreciated.

    Hi

Already checked that out, couldn't get any further for it as they require you to select a free-view box that I am using?I am not using any as it is built into my smart tv?
Unless you select the box from the list you are unable to continue with the purchase?
Was hoping the site would have given a selection of tv/free view boxes to choose from but only bringing up selection of free view boxes that don't apply to me as I am using it via tv?

    Hi

Thanks for the second link..Disappointed to find my tv model is not on their list?(Samsung es8000)

Will give Samsung customer services a ring first thing to find out what the crack is?
Worst case scenario it's getting returned if I am unable to get cl card for it with services.

Looking at that list, there are some crap tellies on there. I wouldn't be replacing a Samsung with any of those bargain basement makes and models!

Just buy a separate Freeview box if you MUST have Top Up TV....
