How is everyone else being successful with their claims?
"Everyone else" doesn't succeed. Generally, only those with a valid and (preferably) verifiable complaint have success. Some do get lucky with auto-payouts on low value complaints, but weak complaints usually receive a rejection.
If my reasons are weak how can I improve them
You have to tell the truth. If your truthful complaint is weak then that's just the way it is.

How is everyone else being successful with their claims?

If my reasons are weak how can I improve them after all this cover that I paid I did not know I what this was for, it was never explained to me by anyone in Halifax.

This is money that has new wrongly took from a lot of people and the banks know this.

Whether it was explained or not, you would have been given forms to sign which presumably you signed saying you have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions.

This extra payment would have been on a separate line on every single month statement you received from start to finsih.
You should have questioned it then.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
