Achica sneaky overcharge for delivery, can I get it refunded?

the £45 is for 35kg+
So if you had bought 4, the delivery charge would have been the same. They probably take a median of weight and cost in this area and work out the max charge.
I see both sides of it, but you're only feeling hard done by as you were only just over the minimum.
Stings, but its down to their goodwill from the looks of it.0 -
Did you see the cost of postage when you bought it?
I assume it appeared on the order confirmation before you bought it?
If so I think you missed the boat for doing something about it.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Seriously its not because I'm feeling hard done by because it was just over the minimum as you put it, the way I look at it is, it was way below the mimimum if they had charged me as I see fair.
You cant put 2 chests of drawers in one parcel, each parcel equals to the £9.95 cost each and a fair charge would be £19.90 because they were shipped as 2 parcels of lower weight each which is what the cost to them would have been. Where will the extra £25 have gone to but Achicas profits.
If I had bought a parcel weighing the same full of items in one box I can agree to the delivery charge because its what achica would have had to pay themselves.
I couldnt see the weight of the drawers until I got the shipping email from the couriers so when I ordered I trusted that the charge was because they were extremely heavy. When I realised what had happened I just feel its unfair on anyone buying from them to be charged in a way that profits achica for deliveryThanx

Unfortunately you are allowing the frustration of the situation get to you - the legal position is they offered you a product and a service at a price, which you accepted.
It may not be nice, but its just the way it is, vote with your feet in future as there is no legal obligation for them to refund you.0 -
If I had been able to see the weight of the chests on the website when I ordered I would have known there was something wrong but they dont put this information, without it I accepted the products and service at a price assuming that the wieght genuinely took it into the £45 delivery. I also trusted that Achica would be reasonable and rectify things if I did find out the weight was overestimated or something when they were delivered.
I'm emailing them again, they may not refund, I hope they do because it is more about the way they handle this rather than me getting the money back because I do think the way they charge delivery on orders such as mine is very unfair, how can it be when the cost to them would have been £9.95 each = £19.90 but I am still charged £45. This will be happening to other customers not just meThanx

If you are within the time period, you can return the goods under Distance Selling RegulationsOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Whether they refund or not, should you choose to order from them again keep an eye on delivery charges before submitting the order.0
