Faulty Samsung Galaxy SIII on Orange

Don't wish to dishearten you OP, but my OH had an S3 (on T-mobile) for a few months and it developed just that problem. Wouldn't power up at all. She took it to a T-mobile shop, who verified it wouldn't switch on and sent it off for repair. A few weeks later, it came back "checked, no fault found". It still wouldn't switch on, which luckily the shop assistant witnessed and even tried another battery in it. So back it went. Eventually, it came back repaired and has worked fine ever since. OH got a month's contract payment refunded as a goodwill gesture when she complained.
Ah, well, I'll see what they come back with.
If it's not working if it ever somes back, I won't be leaving without a new one! Not fit for purpose then.:money: = LEGEND0 -
it sound like the the sudden death syndrome,S3's have been falling like flys
the only way to fix it is with a new motherboard and if you have an S3 it needs updating to the latest firmware that has a fix in it,
samsung is taking a few week to replace the part,
other places are taking longer and some are just replacing the phone
and its the 16GB phone that as the fault with its memory ,thats reporting some thing wrong and bricking the phonethere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0 -
Friend's just had a problem with his - turned out the phone wasn't charging off the mains charger and had gone totally flat battery. He switched to using the USB off the PC and it charged up fine.
There's a thread on the android forums about it as it's a fairly common issue but I can't look it up at the moment since he'd linked it on facebook and it's about five pages back in my newsfeed and I'm just about to run out of the house.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
