Harvey Norman is well worth a visit

Not to be confused with Harvey's

They are usually more then happy to make a deal to secure a sale and their furniture isn't all carp
  • I'd happily recommend DFS. We bought a leather sofa from them about 6 years ago and it has really stood the test of time - although it is a bit scuffed now due to several house moves but thats not the fault of DFS!

It still looks smart and is very comfy and when we bought it they delivered it when they said there would.

If its a fabric sofa you are after (not leather) try Alstons sofas. they use moulded foam filler so they maintain their shape & are made in the uk with weekly deliverys to NI.
They are sold by various shops around NI so they are very competitive & deliver quickly. google their name "alstons" for a list of local stockists
A DFS person once told me if you can lift a sofa at one end by one arm, dont buy it!

  • CSL Sofas, great quality, great price and we only waited 72 hours for delivery! Check them out online.

DFS and other furniture stores quoted me a 6-10 week wait! My sister was told this also by DFS, took the chance and she waited 5 months!

    Oops; post removed.

Tara; its easily done if you click on from the post rather than forum.

DA,Tara and Motorguy; no spam just a genuine wish to help people. Maybe you should have a look through my other posts, you'll see very few, if any, references to this group of companies, hardly an action of a spammer then.:(

If i were to post advocating a particular company because i had a relationship with them then that would be a SPAM post, though i am not necessarily a spammer.
