I have no problem with my Dyson animal I have two one for up stairs upright and a cylinder for downstairs and it picks up cat hairs on hard wood floors I have two attachments for floors on where you pull a plastic lever and brushes diss engange and another with soft brush dont think any vacuum cleaner is designed for animal remains surely it would be soft and clog up the cylinder after a while

Call Dyson. Their customer service is excellent. You may have the device plugged together wrongly.

That's what I need! An attachment where you can disengage the brushes because that's the cause.

Rabbit pellets are small and hard, they eat the soft ones :p

Yes, I've removed the head and just used the vacuum without it but it gets rather annoying having to do that when you're in a hurry to clear up the mess.

Guess I'll just have to lump it or buy a non-motorised attachment.
    I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.

Silly me! I thought vacuum cleaners were invented to replace such manual tasks

If it won't pick up rabbit 5h1t then either there's something wrong with it or you're using the wrong attachment. If you're using the brush then expensive as the Dyson is, you can't expect it to override the rules of physics and allow solid matter to pass through solid matter. If you're using the hose then your machine doesn't work. My £90 Morphy Richards hoovered up anything that was small enough to go down the pipe. Then again it didn't last long and exploded last night in a foul smelling cloud. I checked the reviews for new vacs and ended up ordering a Henry, Dysons seem to be overpriced.
  • Our Dyson was a bit crap at picking up some stuff. We consulted the manual and found that a 'reset' (yep, on a vacuum) did the trick - it's much better now.

That said, we weren't trying to hoover up sh*t!
