ATM location on a bank statement - can it be wrong?

Having looked at the list of Halifax ATMs in the Nottingham area I would say that it's pretty likely to be the Beeston High Road one mislabelled somewhere in Halifax's systems. If you're in the area again you could go to all the ATMs and withdraw a different amount from each to find out which one it is, but if the amount, date and time match up to what you're expecting I'd accept it and be pleased that you've reconciled successfully.

Yeah, everything else matches up with what I was expecting. I just wasn't sure whether it was actually even possible for these things to be wrong....there's something inside me that worries slightly if a bank can't even label their ATMs correctly (the fact that Beeston could be considered Nottingham aside, the road name is still wrong). Cheers for the advice, next time I get a few minutes I'll go and make a test withdrawal from the one I think it is; given that it's 3 days to payday and withdrawals can only be done in multiples of £10 doing all local ones might be a little pricey right now!
