SatNav mis-use

I seem to see more and more people using SatNav's dangerously. 1) Positioning them in dead central to driver's eye-line. Only thing my phone (aka satnav) windscreen mount obstructs my view of is my car's bonnet.

The rear view mirror is a bigger problem for me as it's at exactly eye level.
