The WiFi restriction is placed on applications downloaded through the Windows Store over 50MB in size. A reset should fix the issue... If not it may be a fault.
Most apps are well under 50MB so this restriction is reasonable. I also imagine networks like these sorta of restrictions which prevent people downloading large chunks of data at a time.
If you are looking to get the full functionality from your WP I would personally recommend a WiFi connection. Nokia are pretty good with software updates and you may need this sort of connection to actually update the handset over the air.0 -
The freezes are well reported across the internet, that is what you get for being a beta-tester of a new OS I am afraid (the GUI looks the same as WP7 but under the hood it is different).0
