    Also there are wifi USB dongles.

    Notebooks usually have it built-in by default.

    The WiFi restriction is placed on applications downloaded through the Windows Store over 50MB in size. A reset should fix the issue... If not it may be a fault.

    Most apps are well under 50MB so this restriction is reasonable. I also imagine networks like these sorta of restrictions which prevent people downloading large chunks of data at a time.

    If you are looking to get the full functionality from your WP I would personally recommend a WiFi connection. Nokia are pretty good with software updates and you may need this sort of connection to actually update the handset over the air.

    The freezes are well reported across the internet, that is what you get for being a beta-tester of a new OS I am afraid (the GUI looks the same as WP7 but under the hood it is different).
