It says if any of them are not true then you don't qualify, as its shared then unless your neighbour gets rid of there part you don't qualify.

Saying that you should ring and double check in case things have changed and the form is out of date

Right, thanks I'll give them a ring in the morning and see what they say. If this is the case then it could work out being a very expensive job indeed unless the neighbor agrees to pay her share.

Just had a look at Seven Trent's price guide and it seems we would have to pay around the £200 mark for the connection unless a deal can be made. Not the end of the world but also not best pleased.

I think it will be more than £200 to be honest , where did you get that price from ?

look at page 7 off site connections,if its in highway from £500 if its highway only + traffic management + application fee

that's all for new connections, you really need someone out to do a survey

Have had this done recently like yu my flow was about 11litres/minute. Water board checked at water meter was 50litres/minute. Got builder to dig trench and put new 32mm pipe in. The meter had been installed 2 years ago(before I bought property) and had a plastic to lead connector on out pipe from meter. My builder replaced this with a plastic to plastic connector. Proablely took him less than 1hr in total(approx 15m trench) but already had a mini digger on site. Pipe and connector was about £40 and labour less than £50. Depending where you are would be worth finding out for cost of mini digger -not expensive but depends on distance from nearest hirer-cost of delivery and collectition could be as much as hire rate for a day. Almost certainly will be cheaper than getting water autority to do work

Spoke to Seven Trent today and they seem to be under the impression that as long as I disconnect the the shared supply and as long as there's no lead on my new private pipe then they will connect for free.

I guess I'll just have to wait for Seven Trent to come out and do a survey.
