If a medical report is required along those lines - the GP/Consultant going through the descriptors line by line and reporting on them will cost money!

A medical report that says that the patient has *** and is being treated by *** will generally not affect the outcome of the case.
The report has to be ESA specific to be of any real value.

In my first claim I sent everything I had both with the ESA50 and handed a copy in at the assessment.
When the SOR reasons for the failure came back, none of what I had sent in was itemised or mentioned as being used to make the decision.
When I complained via the MP, I went from failure to Support Group for three years immediately!!

This time round, I've sent nothing with the ESA50, don't intend to hand anything in at the assessment and refused to disclose who my consultants are/GP is. The end result can't be any worse or any different- failure with 0 points just like last time.

    what is MP ?

Cameron is your leader - your MP is your local Member of Parliament.

  • I had one of these assessments. I was not expecting to pass because of all the terrible stuff you read about atos. They put me in the support group. One thing to remember because the woman kept saying it to me is 'can you do it every day?' If you can only do things sometimes you have to answer no when they ask the question, she kept telling me that. This especially helps when you have a variable condition.

I did find the assessment upsetting though and the reason was because it was the first time I had to face what my life had become. They ask you about what you used to do before you got ill versus now. Putting it in direct comparison left me fighting back tears but I just about held it together.
  • Just be yourself and be honest, why would you need to fake anything?
