Easiest/cheapest way to get sky sports

Options
My grandad has just moved into a rural park home after living in Spain for the past 20 years, we bought him a new tv with free channels already on it but he really wants sky sports, we rang sky and they came to have a look but couldn't fit thè dish - what else can anyone suggest?

Even if they could fit a dish, he would have to take a basic Sky package before he could have Sports Channels. They dont sell it 'stand alone'

Is the TV free sat or freeview.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Why couldn't they fit the dish? If a signal is available, then contact an independent Sky installer instead.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

The sky installer couldn't get a signal, I think his tv is freeview?

Doesn't matter what the TV is. I would ask Sky what the problem is.

    'Rural park home'-what is that?
Possibly due to trees around the site blocking a a line of sight to the satellite?
Still worth getting an independent out, they will be willing to mount the dish where the Sky installer can't (eg a higher chimney mount, etc).
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
