It's actually from the the cartoon program that supplies all of my avatars - "Wait 'till your father gets home". You guys read too much into other people's actions - perhaps you need to have a break from the internet and go outside once in a while?
I remember when I typed a line from a Brad Pitt movie (about whether a crazy person knew they were crazy) that was relevent to someone (well TBH, many people) on here. All the usual suspects were outraged, not realising that it was a movie quota. I guess unless it's a quote from Star Wars or Star Trek, you guys won't understand it?0

Why do you use the Good Life avatar, shorty?
Did you like the sitcom or is there another reason?0

As you will see you are reading what you want to see. I bet you loved Catchphrase.

UKIP pledged to charge flat rate of 31% tax (combined income tax + NI) for any earning for £11500.

I'm afraid UKIP's plans for changing income tax rates would be like Harry Redknapp's plans for winning the Champions League -- mildly interesting but it ain't ever going to happen.No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

 Will you rather
 1. Vote UKIP and make it happen?
 or
 2. Moan here and see tax for riches reduced from 50% to 45%?Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

 Am I missing something here?
£11500 PA isn't a quantum jump form £10000 nominal amount that we will have by the end of this parliament
Surely tax for the richest would also fall from 45% to 31 %.
The poorest who pay tax already pay 32% (Tax and NI) .
In abolishing employers NI a further14% of workforce pay would have to be recovered form somewhere. Where do you think that would come from?
Based on your link and http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/nic.htm"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Rather than fretting about what % is fair, why not discuss it on the basis of how much money people have after tax? For example, is it fair that say a company director or investment banker could have £1M after tax whereas a minimum wage carer could be on £12K? What % tax they paid to get to that position hardly matters.0
