Rain Rescue? I shall have to make a note as I get so many people ringing about fostering their dogs while they are ill and so on.

    Your cousin sounds awful :(.

Rain Rescue are fab, I'm glad they could take her. Is the dog 'Ava'?

Hope she finds somewhere to rest for the next few years.

I saw her on the Rescue website. She's gorgeous. Poor girl. She must be so anxious and confused.

Hope someone can find it in their heart to give her the warm and loving home she deserves.

I might have been interested as I no longer have my old lad but it didn't say if she could be left on her own, I work, flexible hours though, but can't be there all the time and I thought the insurance would be expensive for an older GSD.
I hope she finds a good home soon, she looks lovely.

Hethmar, if the people are over 60, the Cinnamon trust may be able to help them. I have just applied to be a dog walking volunteer. They help over 60's, terminally ill, or elderly going into care or hospital etc.

Its very hard to find a fosterer with Cinammon - they need more volunteers like you :)

But as our rescue covers an inner city area, it is more often younger people who have emotional/drug/housing problems.
  • yeah thats 'ada' she was called holly originally though not sure if they already had a holly so thats why they renamed her. Shes a beautiful dog im sure she will find a new home soon. thanks for all your kind comments.
  • hope that she finds a new home soon, she is lovely and well done to you for finding somewhere nice to take her in.

As for your cousin, like others have said, if that was me I wouldn't speak to her again. It is disgusting to cast a pet aside like that!
