Sorry i've been awol recently, but i think i may have to just give up this month, i had some really bad news on Tuesday when my mum rang to say my gran had been found dead.

It's been a really sad time for all of us, but it's not helped by the fact that none of my family like or speak to each other, so i have to play go between all the time, so that has left me feeling totally exhausted, & also very hurt that they care so little for my feelings that they would put me in this position.

Anyhow, with all the things needing sorting & paying for, i have totally lost track of my NSD, so may just hang around & chat for the rest of this month if that's ok?

Was planning to catch up with the thread, but i feel shattered, so ((((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))) to anyone who needs them, i'm going to head off to bed & get ready for my big day tomorrow.... first day of my new job, a small chink of light peeping from behind the big dark cloud!!

    Hi BDINI
I'm so sorry to hear about your gran. Sending you a mahoooosive ((((((((((hug)))))))))) and a huge kick up the bum to your family. Behaving that way is totally unfair on you, especially after everything you've been through recently and at a time when everyone's emotions are stretched fairly thin anyway. It sounds as though some of them need a swift reality check but, clearly, now isn't the time to do that.....

Don't you dare disappear on us, I'm looking forward to the updates on your new job and someone needs to keep an eye on you to make sure you're OK xx :A

Best of luck for tomorrow, I'm sure we'll all be thinking of you.

    Take care hun

Well I trundled off up to the highest diving board, took a deep breath and launched myself into the spendiest day I have had for nearly 6 months. :o But by heck I enjoyed it :)
That's it for another 6 months. :rotfl:

NSD run well and truly blown

Eeeek Freeby, that's not like you..... but at least you enjoyed it, that lessens the pain a bit:rotfl:
    Good Morning :)

    Another little update from me

Lots of NSDs being captured. Really well done.

Thanks for another fabby update Freeby :A

Spoony – Another 2 captured by your marvellous self and you are up to NSD #14. :T I did laugh at 12a.:rotfl: I’m not superstitious and have been known to walk under a ladder
Well you've got a few more to laugh at tomorrow morning... Sorry, it just seems to be tempting fate to me :o:o

There's no way you'd catch me walking under a ladder either :eek:

    Hi all

Very late again, and should be asleep. Bdini, so sorry, difficult enough without the family needing a referee. :grouphug::grouphug: (That is the icon I could find for group hug - but does it look a bit rude or is that my glasses? :rotfl:)

Hope your first day is brilliant & it looks to me like you've managed 5 NSD already? So you know that you can get back to when you are ready.

But don't go far...we'll miss you:)

p.s. Missed NSD 12 due to highly unnecessary internet shopping but did cancel a useless lotto subscription so not such a bad day

  • BDINI I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds as if it was sudden, which means you're dealing with the shock as well as the grief. Take care of yourself.

NSD9 here - it's late enough in the day that I can call it now. Weather continues to be horrible, so yesterday we caved and took the girls to a shopping centre just for the air conditioning...and while we were there, we bought DD2 her first ever pair of proper shoes (*sniffs* My baby!) so total fail. But! I did make laundry detergent from scratch, as well as tried out the new (new-to-us, i.e., free from a friend!) breadmaker and made cake for this week's lunches, so all looking good in that department. Trying to get to Thursday on $40 for the lot of us - we can do it if we don't buy anything unnecessary, the car has petrol in and our metrocards are both topped up. I do like a challenge.
MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028
    14 August 2017 - Refinanced: $220,000
    January 2019 $211,580 Current MFD 31 June 2036

BDINI - I am sending you another massive (((((hug)))). You have got so much on your plate at the moment, the last thing you need to be worrying about are NSDs. I hope you have a really great day today and it all goes well for you. You'd better come back later to tell us about it :) Remember to look after yourself :)
