Morning all
I popped in on Tuesday to state it hadn't been an NSD as I'd forgotten a dentist appt - but have since realised a D/Debit went out that day, so it wouldn't have been anyway....
Wednesday was NSD #3
Thursday was NSD #4
Friday saw a D/Debit go out of the bank. Had a think about any shopping I may need for the weekend, and decided I could cope with what I had in the house rather than walk down to the shops (I was shattered after a bad night sleep thanks to a power cut setting off a number of house alarms 45 minutes before my alarm clock was due to go!)
Today should have been an NSD, but I received a letter from the coucil yesterday saying I'd missed a payment on my Council Tax and owed them £6.52 and that failure to pay by Wednesday would result in them issuing a summons - at a cost of £65 to me  As I pay on a D/Debit schedule I didn't see how I could owe anything, so I've phoned them this morning,
Turns out 91p of it is down to a new computer system generating roundings on every payment (though I don't see how roundings can be more than 1p/month or 10p/year), which they're aware of. Sounds like 'a number' of letters have gone out because of this, and the office is busy cancelling them off when people phone in to query the demands. My concern is now how many people (especially elderly) will pay without asking to avoid the cost of the summons!!! However the other £5.61 is apparently what was due LAST financial year when DS1 moved back in at the end of March. I thought it had been added to my 2012/13 bill, but they say not and that there was a section at the bottom of the bill (which I can't lay my hands on) saying that amount was 'due now'. So I've paid that over the phone - hence losing an NSDMight pop out in a bit and pick up the bits I was going to muddle along without now
So I'm stuck on NSD #4 for now.
Hoping to keep tomorrow clear, as Monday will be a spend day (groceries for the week) as will Tuesday (got the user forum meeting for my phone/broadband people, and I'll need to pay bus fare to get into the city centre). Will then need to do everything possible to keep Wed, Thur and Fri as NSDs if I'm to stand a chance of meeting my target this month!Cheryl0 -

Afternoon all
Grey and dull here in London.
Spoon & Freeby, thank you and for the updating
EverTheOptimist, am pleased to hear you're settling back down.flubberyzing wrote: »Candlewick, there must be something in the air! My washing machine has just packed up as well! Fortunately I was only washing a few items (but one was a thick fleece), and they are now drip-drying on an airer in the bath!
Flubberyzing, sorry to hear of your troubles too. I spoke to my landlord who talked me through how to clear the filter over the phone as he felt that was causing the problem. It was creepy because water was coming out of it as I was unscrewing it but it is now working and I have a shiny kitchen floor to bootThe cr*p that came out of it was yuck. I am having an OCD moment and rewashing my quilt cover because the thought of all that muck and gunge anywhere near my washing makes me feel quite ill.
I hope you get yours sorted quickly.
As I no longer have to worry about washing costs (to be fair I think I would have taken two loads to mums tomorrow because I am feeling lazy and scrooge-likenot two of my traits I like admitting to
) I am declaring NSD 6 and 4 in-a-row.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
CWNSD Challenge 2015: Jan 20 / 20 (2 x 5 in-a-row) / Feb 5 / 12 (4 in-a-row)

Unfortunately yesterday was definitely not a NSD due to a trip to !kea. We [STRIKE]needed[/STRIKE] wanted a new corner table and got one for the bargain price of £8 so not too bad but petrol costs on top mean it works out more than thatDH did buy my a hotdog though :rotfl:
I debated with what to do with the old bookcase/table thing and although it could fetch a few pounds on ebay, i've decided to give it to charity as it gets it out of the house this weekend and is a nice thing to do.
Anyway today will be a NSD - i'm gutted i've lost my "in-a-row" momentum, oh well just makes me more resolved this week!
So NSD 6/15 for me.:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:
SPC 7: #135 :staradmin | MFW 9.72% | Groceries: £6.49/£80 | Exercise 0/20 | NSDs 0/150
