Oops, mine was a £35+ shop if I'd have gone to M, so £3.33... towards M's 'payday' end of month money off fourth shop not got by shopping in A - but no guarantee I'd have done 2 more shops vs M of some much stuff anyway. Overall, 10% is probably better. I'm not going to be spending £35 at M's value again and again...

    See you now later!!

[Edit: well, yes it is, because the 10% is £3.43 off - and that should be more, so it will be corrected upwards in due course.] Not aiming for any particular amount of shop, just buying what I needed/wanted.

[Second edit - or perhaps not, as M's multibuy on the Baxters would have taken some off the M bill, so 10% is less than £3.43, but orobably wouldn't have been £35 on M spend so wouldn't have qualified as one shop towards M's bonus.]

Have to say Ive never had it here. I grow Alot of lilies, so Im lucky. I just love them though. I have quite an array of different kinds. My latest addition....Japanese toad lilies. Beautiful and eagerly anticipated and lasted less than 2 weeks!! lol

We didn't have them the 1st year we had lillies, but OMG the 2nd year cos I didn't know to watch for them they took hold, it was disgusting, I figured rather than use expensive chemicals or just cut them down as my hubby said (he was upset he loves lillies) I would treat it as a labour of love and put thin plastic gloves on and wipe all of the grubs off and it took me about an hour to be sure I had the majority of them:(

Now I watch and kill as soon as I see, easiest way is cut them in half with your nails, I used to try and drown them but they can float in water for at least 3 days without drowing because I tried it:(

Be on the look out for them from about now until end of october:(

I personally would go for Lilly bulbs. The timing is perfect and they will give truly stunning flowers for years to come. They come in any colour you like. Plant any time from now til end if march for gorgeous summer flowers. Very easy to grow. Some have meaningful names, like roses....so have a look to find something that suits......my personal faves are stargazer lilies.

Oriental lilies tend to be bigger and have very strong perfume. Asiatic lilies are smaller, but just as pretty with less scent. Have a look here for some ideas

shop around the other online places for better or prices if you need. This one has a good selection to give some ideas.

I think it's an absolutely lovely idea :)

Love Lilly bulbs and have grown them quite successfully in pots outside for last 10 years (they don't seem to thrive in our clay soil up north). Last year autumn clear out - saw the dreaded lilly beetle for first time on my plants. Will be watching closely this year.

More importantly - Lilly pollen is highly poisonous to cats so careful re siting - particularly if growing indoors or where your cat may like to sit/wander... HTH

SP Vinegar yes, I've already mentioned why the Ibuprofen* and Salt aren't the best possible.

    *Mentioned several days ago.

You need to do an update as they all compare exactly except the vinegar which is 1p difference. hth.

    Bloody cars!

Got in around midnight and as i reversed into my parking space i heard a noise like my exhaust was lightly dragging along the floor. Moved forward and back and it kept doing it so got out and looked under the car and theres nothing there!!

Took it for a drive and it making some right nasty noises like rattling some ball bearing around in a baked bean tin. I thought at first there was a piece of grit stuck between the shield and brake disc but the sound wasnt right for that.

Drove it home and jacked it up, dropped it in gear and started it up so i could have a listen with the wheel rotating. What a god awful noise it was making so dropped the wheel off and did the same again but shining a torch in the gaps but theres nothing there! No stone, no bit of grit, nothing rubbing etc. By now I'm thinking one of the ball bearings in the wheel bearing or gearbox has broken up. :(

Grabbed some tools and popped off the caliper and the disc just to eliminate tham and be sure. Odd....sure I heard a bit of grit drop on the floor as the disc slid off. Fired up the car with no disc and caliper on and no rotating noise anymore! Refitted disc and caliper and all is good!

Turns out this farty bit of grit no more than 6mm across was sitting in the gap between the inner flange and the hub. At speed centifugal force kept it in place so anything over 20mph it was silent!

Bloody cars, but happy with the outcome on this occasion!
