vanilla twist.....just looked up the meaning of Olivia.....latin for Peace
so as another option. Peace lily indoor plants. Also easy to grow and very cheap to buy. Morrisons usually have them quite cheap. And you could buy them already to go
Hope that's given you some ideas love, I know you want it to be perfect0 -

Plant any time from now til end if march for gorgeous summer flowers. Very easy to grow. Some have meaningful names, like roses....so have a look to find something that suits......my personal faves are stargazer lilies.
Oriental lilies tend to be bigger and have very strong perfume. Asiatic lilies are smaller, but just as pretty with less scent. Have a look here for some ideas

shop around the other online places for better or prices if you need. This one has a good selection to give some ideas.
I think it's an absolutely lovely idea
But be warned that with lillies you have to keep an eye out for the dreaded red lily beetle, pick the b*****rs off and kill them as soon as you see them, if they take hold their larvae are disgusting, covering themselves in their own muck and totaslly eating all of the leaves:(
Mind you they only did it once to my hubby's lillies, now I know about them I keep watch and check them for beetles, orange/yellow eggs and larvae about 6 times a day during growing season:rotfl:"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

just checked on msm and there is only 2 others for that price in the offer which are honey hoops and golden balls.

The SP Chicken Soup isn't being picked up this week. They are picking up something more expensive vs the Boudoir Fingers, so I will get that hopefully converted into an N/A via HQ (weights are outside 10% so shouldn't compare, as far as I know). I stuck the Patersons on as an extra item, 10% off, even though not it's best pricing. The Baxters multibuy isn't being recognised on Scotch Broth & Tomato. The multibuy is being picked up on the Egg Custards though, and on the Lemon Bakewells (no info. regarding whether the mix and match with the Bramley Apple & Blackcurrant pies would be recognised or not).
This info. will be reflected in my list once I can.
It's too late on now, so bid you goodnight.0 -

Must say it has been a very entertaining day here today.
Were you born in a barn ........ when we left door open
Now I have a question about bulbs ( flower sort)
As is the fashion nowadays I am putting together gift bags for guests at grandaughters christening. Was perusing online and got the idea of putting a few bulbs in preferably ones that flower year after year. I thought it was a lovely idea.
Will not be for a flower called Olivia as can only find a rose.
Ideallyi would like something that can be planted straight away late feb early march.
Fairclaire and DM I know you love your gardens do you have any ideas as to what I can get. Summer flowering would be perfect as summer baby.
I did like the idea of snowdrops that would come up every spring as an annual reminder but can't find any.
Be so grateful for ideas.
Have already ordered named chocolate bars but thought flowers be nice as more permenant.
TIA
Oh and have a date with a radio presenter on 14th feb.was chatting and decided next thursday. Afterwards I realised the date and sent him a text offering to change day as it is an expensive one. But we have decided to keep to thursday.
Not been keeping up with this dating lark as had a lot on and money is going on christening but will be fun and of course will check in afterwards and dish the gossip to the nightcrew.

I like tulips, but since a more knowledgable person mentioned lilies, there is one called an Olivia Lily, although have not managed to find a stockist yet.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
