All this talk of tyres has reminded me that I really need to get my slow puncture seen to  Hope that won't be too expensive.....those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

My DS learnt really quickly how to use a clothes airer when he realised how much money it would save him on drying. When we took him to Uni for the first time in Sepember you could spot all the students on the motorway, because they all had a clothes airer squeezed in the back of the car
:rotfl:
Before my son went I taught him a few dishes ( chicken pie made from a cooked chicken, spaghetti bolognaise, soup and a basic stew) His favourite food is a sandwich though so I suspect he lived on those. Blue Tack is another good thing to put up posters etc.0 -

I only ever call it a clothes horse - I have to think what someone means when they call it an airer!0 -
I'll remember that ......we'll play spot the airer :j
We did;) but only to stop me getting all emotional:o:o:oPixiePieface wrote: »Evenin' all,

Re Uni tips, everything Nikkilala said plus:
A crate of beer on moving in day - easy way to make friends
A little safe for his room that looks like a book - I got it from amazon only recently
V pillow for propping himself up in bed reading/lappy etc
Mattress protector - I took the uni one off and stuffed it under the bed
Invest in a couple of those large plasticky/mesh storage bags with handles you get from markets for a couple of quid -ideal when moving in/out and wash days etc, he doesn't want to be carting dirty washing around campus in a plastic bag in case it all falls out!
Emergency gift card say £10 or £20 for his local supermarket, then you know if he's short on cash he can always get some food..
Emergency money is brilliant, we did that that and when DS lost his bank card he was so pleased:TBefore my son went I taught him a few dishes ( chicken pie made from a cooked chicken, spaghetti bolognaise, soup and a basic stew) His favourite food is a sandwich though so I suspect he lived on those. Good idea too:) Blu tack is banned at DS's Uni because it marks the walls:(but we did have to take lots of pins as they had a huge noticeboard he stuck photos and stuff on:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
