How is DH ? He lost his mother recently didn't he

I was thinking about Percy as well

He did, yeah. He's doing pretty well considering. Was back at work not long after the funeral. Taken us a while to settle back down, especially DD, as it was a lot of upheaval for her and all the traveling, but I think we're just about there now. Thank you for asking :A

My DS learnt really quickly how to use a clothes airer when he realised how much money it would save him on drying. When we took him to Uni for the first time in Sepember you could spot all the students on the motorway, because they all had a clothes airer squeezed in the back of the car ;):rotfl:

I'll remember that ......we'll play spot the airer :j
  • Good evening everybody I hope you are all well.

Tiny shoes I hope your mum is more comfortable and the pain is being managed. I hope you and your family are ok.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.
  • Weren't we just saying the other week that S&G body responsive is stinky? Maybe at 20p the stink is ok.......

Thats a handy list ! My son will be off to uni to in Sept....not sure which one yet as hes still getting offers....not sure he'd even know what to do with a clothes airer!!!! I'm sure he'll soon learn though...:rotfl:

    Evenin' all,

Mega hugs to logie tiny shoes and all that need one (((((hugssss))))

Re Uni tips, everything Nikkilala said plus:

A crate of beer on moving in day - easy way to make friends

A little safe for his room that looks like a book - I got it from amazon only recently

V pillow for propping himself up in bed reading/lappy etc

Mattress protector - I took the uni one off and stuffed it under the bed

Invest in a couple of those large plasticky/mesh storage bags with handles you get from markets for a couple of quid -ideal when moving in/out and wash days etc, he doesn't want to be carting dirty washing around campus in a plastic bag in case it all falls out!

Emergency gift card say £10 or £20 for his local supermarket, then you know if he's short on cash he can always get some food..
